ONUS’s National Victims of Police Violence and Terrorism Committee engages in actions and activities that support ONUS’s nationwide effort to ensure The Uniform Reporting Law Enforcement Improvement Act (URLEIA) becomes law. URLEIA is designed to ensure accountability and transparency in policing. The Committee serves is a mouthpiece for victims’ families on a national level and directly confronts and controverts negative messages broadly disseminated about victims by law enforcement agencies with the and help of media outlets.  This committee is helping to build a firm national coalition of victims who are committed to transforming policing in the United States. Members on the Victims of Police Violence and Terrorism Committee serve in a volunteer capacity.  All families of police brutality are defacto members.
